Privacy notice
This notice explains how Townsend Precision Labs LTD handles personal information when you contact us, request a quote or become a customer.
Who is responsible for your data?
Townsend Precision Labs LTD (company number 15895757) is the data controller. Our registered office is 9 Deans Way, Gloucester, England, GL1 2PY. For privacy questions or requests, email wayner84@hotmail.co.uk.
What we collect and why
We may hold your name, business and contact details; enquiry and order correspondence; drawings, models and technical requirements you provide; quote, invoice, payment and delivery records; and information needed to support completed work.
We use this information to respond to enquiries, prepare and manage quotes, fulfil contracts, keep accounting and tax records, protect legitimate business interests and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data or use it for unrelated advertising.
Lawful bases
- Contract: to quote for, supply and support requested work.
- Legitimate interests: to administer enquiries, maintain business records and protect our work and systems.
- Legal obligation: for accounting, tax and other statutory records.
- Consent: where we specifically ask for it; you may withdraw it at any time.
Sharing, storage and international access
Information is shared only where necessary with service providers such as email, file storage, payment, accounting, delivery or professional advisers, or when required by law. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where that happens we rely on the safeguards provided by the relevant service and applicable data-protection law.
This static website uses no analytics, advertising trackers, contact-form scripts or cookies set by Townsend Precision Labs. Following the August 2026 site update, its fonts and visual assets are served from the same GitHub Pages site. GitHub may process technical request logs under its own terms when it delivers the site.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, for repeat-work traceability, or to meet legal and contractual obligations. Enquiries that do not proceed are reviewed periodically. Contract, invoice and accounting records are normally retained for at least six years after the relevant financial period. You can ask us to review technical files we retain for repeat work or support, unless a legal or contractual reason requires continued retention.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer of your personal data. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Contact us first if you would like us to resolve a concern.
Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small engineering business. No internet or email system is completely secure, so avoid sending unnecessary sensitive personal information. We will update this page when our practices materially change.
